Johnson's Free Throw Rally Tigers to Win
Doane College rallied from an eight-point second half deficit to defeat Bethel College, 63-62, on the first day of the Hastings College Classic. The win snapped a three-game losing skid for the Tigers.
Tyler Weatherholt paced Doane with 15 second half points as he finished with 19 points in the game. Jake Johnson scored the game-winning points for Doane as he picked up an offensive rebound and was fouled with five seconds remaining. He hit a pair of free throws to put Doane ahead by one.
