GPAC Volleyball Honors Announced
After a 10-6 GPAC record and sixth place finish, Doane found three members of the team on the all-conference squad for the 2007 season. Leading the way was Kari Hochstein, who was named to the First Team. Hochstein, a senior from Wayne, led the Tigers with 402 kills on the season, 3.69 per game, and 136 blocks, 1.25 per game. She also posted a .357 attack percentage, bumping her career mark to .316 which is the best on the Doane record books. She also finished third in career blocks (513) and fourth in kills (1,578).
Chelsee Marvin, a junior from Crete, was named Second Team All-GPAC after posting 380 kills (3.49/gm) and 132 blocks (1.21/gm). Marvin is also working her way into the record books as she is currently ninth in attack percentage (.276) and seventh in total blocks (379).
Ashley Sluka, a junior from Milligan, earned honorable mention All-GPAC honors. Sluka posted 688 assists (6.31/gm) in Doane's 6-2 offense. She was third on the team in digs (273) and ace serves (25).
