Flames on Fire to Knock Off Doane

Alissa Holland scored 18 points and reached the 1,000 career point mark but it was not enough as Doane fell to College of St. Mary 73-70 in the home opener.  The Flames shot 56 percent and used 12-0 and 9-0 scoring runs to knock off the Tigers on their home court.  Lindsey Anderson added 15 points and Jackie Knievel came off the bench to score 10.

The Tigers will host the Doane College Classic on November 9-10.  On Friday, Doane will take on Peru State College at 8:00 PM.  On Saturday, the Tigers face No. 18 Iowa Wesleyan University at 4:00 PM.  Hastings College will play the opposite schedule, with their games being played prior to Doane's.
