The Tiger men's soccer team was unable to ride the momentum of a huge comeback on Wednesday and was upset by Dordt College, 1-0. The loss dropped the Tigers to 7-3 in GPAC play as they battle for second place in the conference standings.
Doane out-shot the Defenders on their home field, 18-10, but Dordt had one more shot on goal and it was the one that found the back of the net. The Defenders scored their only goal in the 23rd minute of play as Phil Nywening was able to beat Matt Bickley with his shot attempt.
Doane will close out the season on October 30 with a match-up with Sioux Falls in Crete. The game is scheduled to start at 7:15 PM and will determine the second seed in the GPAC Tournament.
