The Doane volleyball team kept their momentum going on Wednesday evening, posting a three-set victory over Morningside College. Game scores were 25-19, 25-14 and 25-16. With the win, the Tigers improved to 20-4 on the year and 11-2 in the GPAC.
Doane got out to a quick start in set one only to see the Mustangs rally and close the gap before the Tigers took the final points. In set two, Doane exploded behind Susan Rollman's attack as she has seven kills in the game. The Tigers jumped out quickly in set three to cruise to the victory.
Rollman led the way with 13 kills while Terra Andreasen added 11 for the Tigers. Ashley Axmann contributed nine kills.
Heather Davison posted 37 set assists and had one of three ace serves. Desiree Erikson and Nicole Skolnick had the other ace serves for the Tigers.
Skolnick led the team with 14 digs on the evening as Erikson picked up nine and Davison added seven in the back row. At the net, Emily Max finished with four total blocks while Axmann added three.
Doane will host Midland on Saturday, October 23, at 5:00 PM.
