The Tiger women's golf team placed 10th at the second GPAC Qualifier after shooting a team score of 403 and currently sit at a team score of 803. The Tigers, in 10th place overall, are 172 shots off the leaders Dakota Wesleyan University, who has posted a two-round total of 631.
On the second round of competition, this one held in Lincoln at Pioneers Golf Course, Brittany Sampy paced the Tigers with a round of 96 (45-51). She tied for 38th overall on the day. Andrea Rosh tied for 43rd on the day with a 100 (53-47). Melisa Dalton posted a round of 101 (52-49) and tied for 46th. Abby Hahn finished 51st with a round of 106 (54-52) and Rachel Ryan was 53rd after a round of 111 (58-53).
Overall, Sampy is currently 35th in the GPAC Championship with a two-round score of 189. Dalton and Hahn are tied for 42nd with a total of 205. Ryan sits 45th with a two-round total of 215 and Rosh is 47th with a score of 221.
Danielle Bellet of Dakota Wesleyan leads the tournament with a 3-over, 148.
The final two rounds of the championship will be held in Spring 2010.
