Due to upcoming inclement weather, the afternoon commencement
ceremony at 2:30 will be moved to the Haddix Center.
The Tiger men's cross country team came away with an impressive performance at the Lucian Rosa Invitational in Kenosha, Wis., on Saturday. Doane finished sixth out of 28 teams.
Leading the way was Sufian Kimo who finished fourth in the meet out of 283 runners. He ran a time of 25:54. Edwin Ronoh finished in sixth place after posting a time of 26:00. Paul Garcia ran a time of 26:50 to place 31st in the meet.
Holden Kaliff ran a time of 28:06 to place 93rd in the meet while Steve Jerina finished 104th after running a time of 28:15. Ben DeLay ran a time of 28:38 while placing 125th and Phil Rohde rounded out the top seven finishers for Doane with a 129th place finish and time of 28:41.
Other participants for the Tigers were Scott Ohlson who placed 139th (28:53), Derreck Donovan who placed 157th (29:16), Omar Fernandez who placed 185th (29:50), Matt Rosser who placed 189th (30:02), Jamil Chehade who placed 216th (30:46) and Andrew Ohlson who placed 247th (31:58).
The Tigers will travel to Hastings for the Hastings Fall Invite on October 18. Hastings is the site for the GPAC Championship that will be held in November.
