On Nov. 10, Doane (Neb.) College was recognized on ESPN College Football Live after running a trick play on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 7) against Nebraska Wesleyan. Termed the "Bounce Rooskie", Doane quarterback Anthony Dunn took the snap from center and threw a lateral bounce pass to Jeremiah Saffold. Saffold caught it on one hop and slung it downfield to an open Tyrone Curry for a 51-yard completion that would lead to a Doane score.
Doane ended a six-year drought to the rival Prairie Wolves, winning 38-17. Dunn earned GPAC Offensive Player-of-the-Week honors after completing 24-of-33 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns. Saffold, who completed a pass earlier in the game off a "normal" lateral pass, finished with 77 passing yards and a touchdown to go along with 123 receiving yards on eight receptions and a touchdown. Curry finished with nine receptions for 142 yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers. Curry's receiving total ranks 10th all-time at Doane for a single game.
