For the second straight game, hot shooting carried the Tigers to a victory. An added bonus for Doane was strong defense as the Tigers won 84-59 at York College. Doane moved to 3-2 on the year.
The Tigers lead was five at the break but they out-scored the Panthers 52-32 in the second half. Doane shot 67-percent from the floor in the second half and finished the game shooting 59-percent. York shot 42-percent from the floor but was held to 1-of-15 shooting from behind the three-point arc.
Four starters for the Tigers reached double figures in scoring, led by Tyler Cyboron and Jake Johnson's 16 points apiece. Scott Neuhalfen added 14 points while Trent Schlautman finished with 10 points. Jack Lind also reached double figures but in rebounds were he pulled down 10 boards.
Brett McFarland came off the bench to added eight points and three steals while Jens Scholl posted six points and eight rebounds.
Dashon Jones led York with 24 points while Darren Best posted 12 points and five rebounds.
