Doane Needs Five to Stop NWU

The Tiger volleyball team needed to rally late and they did as Doane defeated Nebraska Wesleyan 3-2 in action on Tuesday evening in Lincoln.  Game scores were 25-15, 19-25, 16-25, 25-10, 15-13.

The Tigers received a strong performance from senior Chelsee Marvin (Crete, Neb.) as she finished with 24 kills and a .444 attack percentage.  Terra Andreasen (Bellevue, Neb.) added 16 kills while Jessy Livers (Lincoln, Neb.) posted 10.  Kellie Peterson (Ord, Neb.) and Lisa Lord (Indianola, Neb.) notched seven apiece.

Ashley Sluka (Milligan, Neb.) collected 30 set assists while Heather Davison (Lincoln, Neb.) finished with 25 assists.

Emily Schwisow (Beatrice, Neb.) had a team-high 35 digs for the Tigers and Andreasen added 16 digs.  At the net, Peterson led the team with six total blocks.
