Doane Helps Sponsor Nicholas Sparks Event
The presentation, which will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 2, is part of the celebration for the 20th anniversary of the Lighthouse, a community based after-school program for 6-12th graders in Lincoln.
Doane students as well as faculty will attend the event, as well as events the day before, when Sparks will speak to a group of writing students at the Lincoln High auditorium, followed by a session for Q&A.
Sparks, originally of Omaha, is the author of 15 books, six of which are now motion pictures, including "The Notebook," "A Walk to Remember," and "Dear John."
Tickets for the presentation range from $25 to $45 and are available at the Lied Center Box Office, 402.472.4747 or online at www.liedcenter.org.
Also on Oct. 2, Sparks will sign books at the Nebraska Bookstore in Lincoln from 1 to 3 p.m.
