Doane Falls at Briar Cliff

The Doane men's soccer team dropped a tough contest at Briar Cliff, 1-0, and suffered their first conference loss of the season on Saturday.

The Tigers held an edge in shots on goal at 8-5 but were unable to beat Briar Cliff keeper Buddy Goodenkauf.

Briar Cliff's lone goal came in the 33rd minute of play as Matt Boubel was able to slip a shot past Greg Beall.  Danny Zach recorded the assist on the play.

Jordan Schafer posted a team-high three shots on goal while Tom Heavey added two shots on goal for the Tigers.
