Doane 28th at NAIA Meet, Two Earn Academic Honors
The Doane men's cross country team had a rough go at it on Saturday morning at the NAIA National Championship meet and finished 28th with a team time of 2:15:07. Leading the way and earning All-American honors was Sufian Kimo who finished 27th overall. He ran a time of 25:47.
Edwin Ronoh ran a time of 26:30 and placed 92nd overall. Scott Ohlson finished 187th with a time of 27:21. Jarid Holliday ran a time of 27:39 and finished 226th in the overall standings. Paul Garcia rounded out the Tiger scoring with a time of 27:50 and finished 240th overall.
Tyler Jackman finished 262nd with a time of 28:19. Jordan Pieper ran a time of 28:37 to finish 277th at the meet.
On Friday, the NAIA announced the 2009 Scholar-Athletes. Earning NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors for Doane's men were Tyler Jackman and Philip Rohde.
