Cold Shooting Slows Down Tigers
A tough day from the floor kept the Tigers grounded and Bethany College came away with a 71-51 victory over Doane at the Hastings Classic on Saturday. Doane shot 23-percent from the floor and 26-percent from behind the three-point arc while the Swedes hit 51-percent of their shot attempts.
Bethany received 25 points from CJ Littlejohn as he led all scorers on the day. Littlejohn hit 11-of-15 shot attempts in the game. Jason Schneider added 18 points off the bench.
Doane received 10 points off the bench from Tyler Cyboron to lead the way. He also posted a game-high three steals. Jake Johnson added nine points and Bryan Meyer along with Trent Schlautman added eight points each. Jens Scholl led Doane with 11 rebounds, five on the offensive end. Schlautman led the team with three assists.
Doane will return to conference play on December 2 when they travel to Concordia for an 8 PM contest.
