Carroll Run Halts Tiger Chances
Carroll College used a 10-0 run to end the first half and then ran off five points to begin the second half as they pulled away from Doane 73-55 in Butte, Mont.
The Tigers led 15-12 before four fouls were called that enabled the Saints to take the lead 19-15. Doane came back with four points of their own to tie the game at 19.
In the final four minutes of play, Doane was called for four fouls and held scoreless on their final seven possessions. Carroll led 29-19 at halftime.
Carroll's 5-0 run to open the second half sealed the game for the Saints. Doane could only get as close as eight points half in the second half.
The Tigers were led offensively by Lindsay Anderson's 17 points. Ashley Howard added 12 points and a team high five rebounds in 18 minutes of play.
Doane will play host school Montana Tech on November 25.
