Bryan J. Van Deun joins Doane as Associate Vice President for Advancement
Bryan J. Van Deun, a former president and CEO of the Nebraska Alumni Association with a long history of major financial gift planning, will serve as Doane College's associate vice president for advancement.
He will be responsible for the functional operation of Doane's Advancement team, including planning, organization, implementation and evaluation of the College's development strategy for major gifts, annual solicitations, research on prospective donors, planned giving, alumni relations and Advancement operations. He will also play a significant role in visiting alumni and friends.
Van Deun brings to Doane 29 years of experience in educational institutions, including Penn State and University of Nebraska alumni associations. He also served as Columbia College's chief development officer.
From 2003-2008, he served as vice president of development for Pheasants Forever, Inc., where he created and implemented a $25 million comprehensive campaign.
Van Deun received a BA in political science from Franklin College of Indiana, a MS in education administration and counseling psychology from Iowa State University and an EdD in higher education administration and political science from Pennsylvania State University.
He is a member of the Downtown Lincoln Rotary club and has been greatly involved in communities where he has lived.
