What is your name and title?
Daniel Maganda Sandoval Assistant Director of Student Recruitment

How long have you worked at Doane? What attracted you to work here?
Been working at Doane since 2018. The opportunity to work with High School students in finding their next step after graduation is so rewarding. Doane took an opportunity on me when looking to transfer after Community College, this allows me to pay it back.

What do you consider the best part of your Doane experience?
Doane allowed me to grow as an individual and help find who I truly am. I was able to meet and interact with individuals who were different then me and that opened my eyes to the world.

What is something you're proud of accomplishing or achieving while at Doane?
In my current role I am proud of seeing my first group of high school students who enrolled at Doane graduate. My first year in admissions was in 2018 and those students got to walk across the stage last year. It was a full circle moment.

What's some advice you would give to current students? Or, what is some advice you've received that you value?
The best advice someone has given me is that "everyone defines success differently, do what makes you happy and brings a smile to your face."

What's something you like about yourself that others may not know?
Im pretty much an open book, what you see is what you get. I guess if I had to answer this question I would have to say my musical taste is underrated. I listen to all different genres of music and being bilingual allows me to explore music that is not mainstream.
