The study of architecture, sculpture and paintingyin Europe from the 18th century through theypresent. Attention is given to the role of theyvisual arts in political and social milieu, theyimpact of aesthetic theories, and theyrevolutionary impulses in modern Westernycivilization. Students will articulate theymeanings and significance of artworks in theiryhistorical context.
