Elsevier's scientific database for finding journal articles and book chapters from more than 2,500 peer-reviewed journals and more than 11,000 books. Doane supplies full-text access to five journals via ScienceDirect: Animal Behaviour, Cell, The Lancet, The Lancet Infectious Diseases, and Molecular Cell.

  Encyclopedia of Life
The goal of this Website is to create a Web page for every living organism that includes "taxonomy, geographic distribution, collections, genetics, evolutionary history, morphology, behavior, ecological relationships, and importance for human well being." Within ten years the project hopes to have pages for some 1.8 million organisms. Some of the contents come from other Websites such as the Animal Diversity Web.
