Leadership Events & Opportunities
In the classroom and out, students have a variety of opportunities to develop their leadership skills as well as put them to work.
Alumni Masters Series
Our graduates come back to campus to share how their Doane experience led them to become leaders in their chosen field.
Faculty in Residence
Exactly what the name suggests – faculty members talking in residence halls about a topic of their choosing. Could be an interesting story (like traveling the world on a shoestring budget) or leading a discussion of interest (secularization of Christmas).
Brings in leaders, who hail from around the world, to Doane's campus.
A chance for you to get away from campus for a short time, get back to nature, meet some new friends, and most importantly, focus on where you are and make plans for where you hope to grow.
Any kind of activity that sparks your leadership development – volunteer fairs, movie screenings and discussions, outdoor activities (climbing walls, fun run), and displays of information that you help create with your fellow students.
A national leadership honorary. Each year, Doane invites select juniors and seniors to apply for this exclusive honorary that recognizes scholarship and leadership in five critical areas of campus.
We are proud to be the host site for the Doane University/Saline County Relay For Life event each April. This event is student-planned and involves the whole community on and off-campus.
