Kathleen Ohlman oversees the music education program at Doane College. She holds undergraduate and master's degrees in music and education from Concordia University-Seward and is currently completing a Ph.D. program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Ohlman brings 18 years of K-12 vocal, instrumental, and general music teaching into the college music education classroom. She came to Doane from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she held a senior lecturer position while working on her degree. Ohlman has conducted several high school and community choruses in regional and state programs and is active as an adjudicator and mentor. She lives in Lincoln with her husband, Tim, and their son and daughter, Tyler and Rega
