Introduction to Criminal Justice

This course conducts an examination of theyhistory, development, and underlying philosophiesyof the American criminal justice system. Uponycompletion of the course, students will understandythe theories of crime and criminal justice,yincluding the causes of crime; and the role of theypolice, courts, penal institutions, probation andyparole in the protection of society.
