An introduction to information science andytechnology by exploring a breadth of topics in theyareas of computer science and information systems.yUpon successful completion of the course, studentsywill be able to articulate the similarities andydifferences of the majors in information scienceyand technology, identify and generally discuss theymajor topics in each major and theiryrelationships, and discuss differing views onyseveral ethical questions related to the computingyindustry. Through examination of the disciplinesyand research of computing careers, this courseywill provide information that will assist studentsyin deciding whether or not to pursue anyinformation science and technology major andycareer.
