A research or experiential project developed underythe guidance of a department faculty member toyculminate a student's study of information scienceyand technology. Completion of the project,yincluding a written and oral presentation,ydemonstrates the skills expected of a Doaneyinformation science and technology student,yincluding a solid understanding of informationyscience and technology concepts; the confidenceyand skills to 1)work with existing and emergingycomputing technology; 2)efficiently research andylearn an unknown topic or solve an unknownyproblem; and 3)effectively communicate, includingywriting, speaking, and listening. This course mayybe taken twice. Prerequisite: Information Scienceyand Technology student with junior or seniorystanding and permission.
