A course providing a non-formal examination of theynature of good reasoning. Students will examineyand learn the nature of cognitive argument, theyrole of inductive and deductive reasoning, and theyeffects of non-cognitive aspects of language onythe cognitive. Students will examine informalyfallacies and apply what is studied to examples ofyreasoning in such areas as science and law.
