Human Physiology

This is a non-majors course in human physiology. Upon completion of this course, students will understand the major function of each organ system and how each system contributes to homeostasis of the organism. Students will engage in investigative lab experiments to understand physiological concepts such as movement across a membrane, reflex arcs, neural conduction, muscle contraction, electrocardiograms and other cardiovascular measurements, and urinalysis. Students will apply these concepts to case studies of human disease and injury.
