Study of historical events, dominant figures, andysystems of thought in modern psychology. Specialyemphasis is placed on the historical developmentyof modern psychology. Students who successfullyycomplete the course will demonstrate theiryunderstanding of how major emphases in psychologyysuch as behaviorist, cognitive, biological,ypsychoanalytic and others developed within ayhistorical context and how that history continuesyto influence contemporary psychology.
