Higher Learning Commission
In 2011, Doane College underwent a comprehensive evaluation visit by a team representing the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Doane College has been accredited by the Commission since 1913.
The team's review found that the college successfully presented evidence that it fulfills the five criteria for accreditation indicating that "The College is dedicated to student learning and effective teaching. Building upon a decade of growth and fiscal success, Doane has the capacity to prepare for the next decade." In 2012, the commission approved Doane College for continued accreditation with its next comprehensive visit set for the 2021-2022 academic year.
