Doane College's 2015 Commencement will be held on May 10 in Cassel Open Air Theatre at the School of Arts and Sciences campus in Crete, Nebraska.

The School of Graduate & Professional Studies (Lincoln and Grand Island undergraduates and graduate students from the Master of Arts in Counseling and Master of Arts in Management programs) and the Graduate Studies in Education (Master of Education programs) ceremony is at 10 a.m.
The School of Arts & Sciences (Crete undergraduates) ceremony is at 2:30 p.m.
You may bring as many guests as you wish. There's lots of space. Please advise your guests to arrive 45 minutes prior to the ceremony or earlier. Early arrival assures a better chance for a good parking place and the best seat for the ceremony. Cassel Open Air Theatre is handicap accessible, and special seating will be offered for those in wheelchairs.
PARKING & SAFETY
With more than 900 parking spots on campus, parking is plentiful. To ease traffic flow, attendants will direct all guests to enter one way off of 7th Street by Frees Hall. At the conclusion of the ceremony, guests will again be directed one way to exit campus. Handicapped parking is available in the Communication Building parking lot (Campus Parking Map).

The ceremony will be held outdoors even if it is cold or lightly raining. Please dress accordingly. If the ceremony needs to be moved indoors due to extremely poor weather, such as a heavy rain, it would be in the George and Sally Haddix Recreation and Athletic Center. Each graduate is given four tickets to share with family if the ceremony has to be moved inside.
Common Grounds Coffeehouse is located in the basement of Perry Campus Center. They will be open to serve coffee, fruit smoothies and water as well as pastry items. The Bookstore will also be open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to purchase Doane memorabilia.
The Baccalaureate service celebrates the achievements of the graduates in a spiritual setting. Baccalaureate is a tradition at Doane because of its historical relationship with the Congregational United Church of Christ. All are invited to participate in the services, but are certainly not required to attend.
Baccalaureate services are scheduled the Saturday before graduation. It starts at 10:30 a.m. in Heckman Auditorium in the Communications Building. Students are asked to line up at 10 a.m. on the patio south of Perry Campus Center for the Baccalaureate procession. In case of rain, line-up will be inside Tiger Inn. Graduates must wear their cap and gown.
At 7 p.m., come to Heckman Auditorium in the Communication Building to hear the Doane College Choir and Band in their last performance of the year.
GRADUATION DIPLOMA & ACCOUNT CLEAN-UP
Graduates who expect a diploma in the folder President Dr. Jacque Carter hands out on graduation day must have an account balance that has been paid-in-full (including promissory notes) the Thursday prior to graduation. If an account is not paid (including all credit-by-exam and portfolio credit), graduates will receive an empty folder during Commencement. Diplomas will be sent to graduates when their account is paid and requirements are completed. If their is a problem with this deadline, contact the business office in Crete at 800.333.6263.
WHO IS INVITED
Undergraduate students that have completed graduation requirements within the past year are invited to attend the May ceremony. This includes students that completed their degree(s) the previous August, October, December (and have not already walked) and March.
Graduate students that have completed graduation requirements in March or May are invited to attend the May ceremony.
