Through lecture and lab experience, students will be exposed to and will demonstrate an understanding of basic concepts in chemistry such as nomenclature, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, the periodic table, electronic structure, bonding, and the gas laws. Prerequisite: Two years of high school algebra or any mathematics course numbered 100 or above. Offered fall term.
