The sorority is proud of its history of high academic achievement and leadership. With over 850 alumni, Gamma Phi Iota has influenced the lives of numerous women, creating lasting friendships – and memories – in the process.  As it was in the beginning, and as it is now, through Gamma Phi Iota, members learn the importance of fellowship, working to promote unity, and encourage personal individuality while continuing to develop valuable leadership skills, social skills and character.

  • 12 different majors and 16 different minors
  • 37 academic scholarship recipients
  • 9 music/theatre/choir scholarship recipients
  • 35 traveled outside the country to 26 different countries
  • 21 collegiate athletes; 9 team captains
  • Involved in 30 different campus organizations
  • Hold 15 leadership positions on campus

Recent service commitments include assisting with the Crete backpack program, nail painting at an assisted living facility, buying gifts for Operation Christmas Child, participating in Relay for Life, and performing highway cleanups.
