It is a conceptual introductionyto research methods and terminology, and is theyfirst of three required courses that prepareystudents to complete the project or thesisyrequirement. Course content includes anyintroduction to: research and the nature of data,yqualitative and quantitative assumptions, researchydesign, sampling, data collection, data analysis,yethical issues in the treatment of human subjects,ywriting a literature review, the use of anyappropriate style manual, and scholarly writing.yRequired core course.
