Fitness Management

A capstone course which focuses on the standards for the certifying examinations of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and on managing fitness settings. The student will demonstrate an ability to evaluate diets and construct appropriate eating plans, assess cardiorespiratory fitness and construct appropriate aerobic training regimens, assess body composition and understand the considerations of human body fat distribution, and understand the concepts of strength training and construct appropriate resistance training regimens. Prerequisite: Physical Education 345, 346, or permission.
