Financing Your Education

Education is one of the most important, and possibly the first, big investment of your life. Spend some time researching scholarships as they can be a big factor in financing your years at college.

Nebraska residents in need of financial assistance who are on a non-traditional (education has been interrupted for three or more years) track to complete their 4-year degree.

American Association of School Personnel Administrators

Applicant must reside in these states/provinces or be currently matriculating at a college or university within these states/provinces: Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Okl

Application materials will be posted on the AASPA website on February 1, 2013 and must be submitted electronically to AASPA by April 12, 2013.

Lift Parts Express Scholarship

Applicants must be a US or Canadian resident between the ages of 16-21, enrolled for the fall of 2013 with a 3.0 GPA at an accredited university.

Zenon C.R. Hansen Leadership Scholarship

Student must be admitted and planning to attend Doane College in the Fall upon high school graduation and have attained a high school GPA of at least 3.0.

Veterans United Scholarship Five bi-annual $2,000 scholarship(s)

Potential applicants must be pursuing a post-secondary degree at an accredited college or university and have a connection to the military by being one of the following:

Applicants must also submit an essay no longer than 750 words based on one of three prompts made available in the spring and fall by Veterans United Scholarship Program.

Five bi-annual $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to help pay for tuition and books.

Lower Republican Natural Resources District Scholarship

Applicants must have permanent residence in the Lower Republican NRD. This includes the towns of Cambridge, Alma, Franklin, Red Cloud, and Superior.

Applicants essay, grades, class ranking, extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation will be considered. Stop by the Financial Aid office to pick up an application.

This scholarship is not renewable.

LM Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program by fall 2013 with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
