Financing Your Education

Education is one of the most important, and possibly the first, big investment of your life. Spend some time researching scholarships as they can be a big factor in financing your years at college. If you enrolled in classes at Doane College prior to Fall 2014, then please use the following document to determine your academic scholarship requirements. Presidential Scholarship Up to $56,000 ($14,000/yr for four years) Admitted students are automatically eligible with a minimum 27 ACT/1210 SAT and 3.65 GPA.

Students who meet the nomination criteria should apply to Doane College.

Renewable for up to eight semesters if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment status.
Board of Trustee's Scholarship Up to $48,000 ($12,000/yr for four years) Admitted students are automatically eligible with a minimum 25 ACT/1130 SAT and 3.4 GPA.

Students who meet the nomination criteria should apply to Doane College.

Renewable for up to eight semesters if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment status.
Van Hoy Scholarship Up to $40,000 ($10,000/yr for four years) Admitted students are automatically eligible with a minimum 22 ACT/ 1020 SAT and 3.2 GPA.

Students who meet the nomination criteria should apply to Doane College.

Renewable for up to eight semesters if the student retains good academic standing.

Performing Arts Varies. Funds are limited and awarded at the discretion of the activity director. Admitted applicants with special abilities in performing arts are eligible; must meet nomination criteria Admitted students may be required to participate in an audition / evaluation.

This award is renewed each year at the discretion of the director.

Students are expected to participate in the program for which the award is given.

NOVA Chapter Linda Emery Memorial Scholarship $750
  • Female
  • 25 years of age or older
  • Non-traditional student
  • Living in Lincoln or Lancaster County area

Scholarships must be postmarked on or before Monday, December 15, 2014, to be considered eligible.  Applications postmarked after the deadline will not be reviewed.

The scholarship will be awarded for the second semester of the 2014-15 academic year.

Artistic Excellence in Print Design & Marketing Scholarship
  • A current undergraduate or graduate majoring in Graphic Arts & Design or a related field

Applicants will be judged based on the completion and submission of a personal marketing package promoting themselves. This package must contain one (1) of each of the following:

ROTC Varies

Must be a member of the ROTC program.

Contact your military recruiter for an application to the ROTC program.

Awarded for one to four years. Includes tuition/fees, book allowance and a monthly stipend.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) $13,000/yr
