Financing Your Education

Education is one of the most important, and possibly the first, big investment of your life. Spend some time researching scholarships as they can be a big factor in financing your years at college. If you enrolled in classes at Doane College prior to Fall 2014, then please use the following document to determine your academic scholarship requirements. Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant Maximum Award $5,550

An undergraduate student whose parent or guardian was a member of the U.S. Armed Forces and died as a result of service performed in Iraq or Afghanistan after September 11, 2001.

2 full-time semesters or 4 full-time terms per academic year

Junior College Graduate Award $7,000/yr

For transfer students graduating from a two-year college.

Students must remain in good academic standing to renew this award.

Karman Healthcare Scholarship

Students participating must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college, or university in the U.S.

Lincoln Community Foundation Varies. Up to 50 scholarships available yearly.

Each scholarship is unique and supports students of a variety of backgrounds.

LIVE Doane Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates at our GPS locations must have a cumulative
Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or above and LIVE Doane.  They must

Merrill Scholarship $9,000/yr

For transfer students. 24+ hours of college credit and 3.0+ cumulative college GPA

Navy Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program Up to $54,000

For qualified students who meet Navy requirements, provides funds to help complete their education.

Nebraska Business Hall of Fame Scholarship $2,000

This $2000 scholarship will be awarded to a full-time sophomore or junior college student (to be used for their junior or senior year of study) enrolled in a Nebraska accredited Business school.

Nebraska resident who demonstrates high need. Limited availability.

Eligible recipient names are submitted to the State of Nebraska's Coordinating Commission of Post-Secondary Education pending approval.
