Financing Your Education

Education is one of the most important, and possibly the first, big investment of your life. Spend some time researching scholarships as they can be a big factor in financing your years at college.

Blue Valley Community Action (BVCA) Partnership Scholarship	$500	The "BVCA Partnership Scholarship" will be awarded to individuals planning to attend or currently attending a 4-year college.	Complete packets include:	N/A
Board For Women's Ministries		Applicant must be a non-traditional (not directly out of high school) female student. Applicant must plan to attend a Nebraska educational institution.	Application is to be complet
Board of Trustee Scholarship	Up to $40,000 ($10,000/yr for four years)	Admitted students are automatically eligible with a minimum 28 ACT/1240 SAT and 3.3 GPA.	Students who meet the nomination criteria should apply to Doane College.	Renewable for up to eight semesters if the student maintains a 3.2 GPA and full-time enrollment status.
Buick Achievers Scholarship		High school seniors and current undergraduate students Enrolled full time at a 4-year college or university in 2013-2014	Visit their website to apply.	This scholarship is not renewable.

Custer County Foundation Scholarships		Students must be former graduates of Custer County high schools.	All information and application forms available at www.ccfneb.org	These scholarships are not renewable.
Doane College Family Grant	$500	Awarded to admitted applicants who have another family member enrolled simultaneously on the Crete campus. In the case of multiple family members, each member is eligible for the $500 award.	To be considered, all family members must file the FAFSA with the same primary family member's income information.	This grant is renewable for all as long as there is another family match currently enrolled fulltime. In the case of multiple family members, each member is eligible for the $500 award.
Doane College Legacy Grant	$1,000	Awarded to admitted applicants who have had a sibling, parent, grandparent or great-grandparent graduate from Doane College.	Eligible students receive this award.	This grant is renewable for up to eight semesters.
Doane Community Award	Up to $26,000 ($6,500/yr for four years)	Admitted students are automatically eligible based on meeting two of the following three criteria: a minimum 3.0 GPA, 21-24 ACT/980 SAT and/or a 33 percent or better class rank.	Students who meet the nomination criteria should apply to Doane College.	The scholarship is renewed each year for four years.
