Financing Your Education

Education is one of the most important, and possibly the first, big investment of your life. Spend some time researching scholarships as they can be a big factor in financing your years at college. If you enrolled in classes at Doane College prior to Fall 2014, then please use the following document to determine your academic scholarship requirements.   • Living in Lincoln or Lancaster County area

Scholarships must be postmarked on or before Monday, December 15, 2014, to be considered eligible.  Applications postmarked after the deadline will not be reviewed.

The scholarship will be awarded for the second semester of the 2014-15 academic year.

Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship $5,000 / $10,000

To qualify for the scholarship, students must have a GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and be enrolled in an accredited college for university for the Spring 2015 semester.

Students may apply for the scholarship through the Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship Website.

 

DutchCrafters Heritage Scholarship

The application deadline is May 1, 2014 for the 2014-15 academic year.

The application consists of three parts:

Udall Undergraduate Scholarship

The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to American Indian nations or to the environment.

The Norden Club of Lincoln Foundation Scholarship

The applicant must live within a 100-mile radius of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Clark Scholarship

Any student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at any time during calendar year 2014 at any accredited American college, university or trade school.
