Field botany is a laboratory class designed toygive students a practical and conceptualyunderstanding of plant sampling techniques. Byyusing various techniques to assess plantyproductivity, growth, reproduction andysurvivorship, students will learn the advantagesyand disadvantages of various sampling methods.yUpon the successful completion of this class,ystudents will have a general knowledge of plantsytypically found in Nebraska and will be able toyimplement appropriate plant sampling methods.
