Can I take summer school?

Summer school courses are available at the Doane College - Lincoln or Grand Island campus and through other institutions.  The Doane Lincoln & Grand Island Summer Schedule will be available ON LINE after April 14th.  Summer courses need to be approved by the Registrar's Office BEFORE students enroll in those courses.

Can I take summer school at another institution?

Summer courses need to be approved by the Registrar's Office BEFORE students enroll in those courses. The approval form is available from the Registrar's Office.

How do I log into WebAdvisor?

Along the top of WebAdvisor is a LOG-IN tab to select.  At that point it gives you directions on how to log-in.

I found a great course but its full, what can I do?

Add yourself to the course waitlist. If someone drops you will be invited to register for the course.

Students in the School of Arts and Sciences ranking on the waitlist will be based on a point system.  Students who are graduating within the next year will receive 5 points, seniors 4 points, juniors 3 points, and sophomores 2 points.  The more points you have the higher you are on the waitlist.  Therefore the spot you are on the waitlist could occasionally change based on the students (and their points) who get on the waitlist after you.

I will be studying abroad next semester. What do I need to do?

Visit the Registrar's office.  They will enroll you in an Off Campus course.

I'll be a junior after I complete this semester. Can I register for next semester prior to the date associated with my class level?

No, WebAdvisor scheduling will be done BY CLASS LEVEL  according to the number of credits students have earned up to this point in time.
You are currently a sophomore.

I'm considering an internship, how do I do that?

Start by contacting Career Development.  Remember that CED 205, Intro. to Field Experience, is a prerequisite for an internship experience.

I'm graduating in May. Is there anything I should be doing now? Am I taking all the classes required to graduate?

Once you're registered for Spring, the Registrar's Office will review your program evaluation to make sure everything is on track.  You will receive an email with directions to complete the graduation application or if there are concerns that need to be addressed.

My advisor mentioned doing a Directed Study or Tutorial, how do I register for that?

Directed Study and Tutorial forms are available at the Registrar's Office.  Students must complete the appropriate form and submit it to the Registrar's Office.  Advisors cannot schedule these courses through WebAdvisor.

My advisor mentioned I need a course substitution. What do I do?

First decide if the substitution is in the Doane Plan or major/minor.  If the substitution is in the Doane Plan there is a form to complete that also explains the required steps.  If the substitution is in your major/minor, send an email to your advisor explaining the substitution.  Upon your advisors approval they will forward it to the appropriate Division Chair, who will review it for approval, and then forward it to the Registrar to be posted on your academic record.
