When developing learning community opportunities for our students, it is important to incorporate experiences that will lead to the desired outcomes.

The desired student outcomes of learning communities are:

1. increase student engagement through unique learning environments and experiences
2. increase student integration of learning by promoting interdisciplinary learning through the liberal arts
3. increase the depth of student learning through experiences requiring the application of knowledge
4. increase student connectedness to Doane by providing a unique and stimulating Doane experience
