Ecology is the study of how individuals cope with their environment, how populations grow and cycle in the environment and how energy and matter cycle at the level of the landscape. Upon successful completion of this course, students will understand the importance of inter and intraspecific competition, predator prey relationships, co-evolutionary interactions such as parasitisms and mutualisms as well as community level processes such as nutrient cycling and productivity.
