Falling in love. Doane's oldest tradition.
It started in 1873 with President David Brainerd Perry and Helen Doane. Their love chronicled in old diaries in the archives. And so Doane's oldest tradition began.
Maybe you first met in class. Maybe your romance grew from friendship, unfolding just as you did personally and intellectually. Love--and friendships--forever rooted at Doane. The connection continues with children, nieces, nephews, friends.
Thank you to the alumni who submitted your photos for the 2014 edition of Doane Sweethearts. We love hearing your stories! Feel free to share the videos with your friends and family. Videos are posted on this page, YouTube
