Doane College Cadaver Policy

Out of respect for the gift an individual gives in donating their body to science and for the privilege of using that gift in our teaching, it is the policy of Doane College that only authorized individuals are allowed access to the cadaver for authorized use.  Authorized individuals include faculty of the biology department, students enrolled in courses which utilize the cadaver for teaching purposes, and other individuals with permission from the biology faculty.  Any individual unauthorized to be in this room will be considered trespassing and may face consequences from the college if enrolled or employed here, or criminal prosecution.  Materials are to leave this room only with the permission of biology department faculty.

*This policy extends to any student or sponsor that is not part of the assigned autopsy workshops.  This means no special or additional viewings of the cadavers are allowed outside of the normal workshop activities.  We appreciate your respect in this matter.

**Participants will be required to sign a copy of this policy stating that they have read and understand the policy.  These will be handed out immediately prior to each section of the cadaver workshop.**
