Cassel Open Air Theatre

For many alumni and current students, Cassel Open Air Theatre holds memories of candlelighting ceremonies, classes, concerts, and graduation ceremonies. This special place will undergo some much-needed renovations. 

 

Renovation plans include:

• Replacement of the deteriorating retaining walls.

• Expanded grassy areas on each tiered level in the amphitheatre.

• Bigger front stage that will be pre-wired for events.

• Larger Tiger Inn patio with additional seating and tables.

• New stairs and walls leading to the patio.

• Improved storm drainage.

• Signage on the north side of the theatre.

• Realigned sidewalk that will connect with the patio.

• New and enhanced plant beds.

 

With these upgrades will come a new commemorative paver walk that encircles the theatre. Alumni will have the opportunity to purchase engraved bricks to be placed along the pathway.
