Research Interests:
I have two main areas of ongoing research interest and one developing
interest.  My main areas of interest include physics education and
computational physics of many-body systems.  My developing interest is

Student Research Projects: Recent student projects I have assisted with include            

  • Developing image processing algorithms and code for measuring the velocity field of plant root cells from microscope images
  • Developing computer simulations of biofilm growth for Pseudomonas aeruginosa with glucose substrate
  • Monte Carlo simulation of lattice gas diffusion in a comb structure
  • Monte Carlo simulation of lattice gas diffusion in an energetically layered structure
