Special emphasis isygiven to the classical heritage through theyreading of Robert P. Miller's Chaucer: Sources andyBackgrounds and to the history of English throughyW. Nelson Francis' The History of English andyKnapp and Snortum, The Sounds of Chaucer'syEnglish.
