Despite inconsistent attacking, the Tiger volleyball team came away from Seward with a 3-0 victory over Concordia University. Game scores were 25-13, 25-21, 25-23. The victory moved Doane's overall record to 15-3 and GPAC mark to 2-0.
Chelsee Marvin (Sr.; Crete, Neb.) and Terra Andreasen (Fr.; Bellevue, Neb.) led the Tiger offense with 10 kills apiece. Jessy Livers (Jr.; Lincoln, Neb.) and Kellie Peterson (Fr.; Ord, Neb.) added four kills each.
Ashley Sluka (Sr.; Milligan, Neb.) posted 15 assists in the match while Heather Davison (So.; Lincoln, Neb.) added 12 assists. Davison led the Tigers in ace serves with three. Marvin and Cassie Reicks (Fr.; Ravenna, Neb.) added two ace serves for Doane.
Defensively, Livers was joined by Ivie Speer (Jr.; Central City, Neb.) with four blocks apiece. Doane was balanced in digs as the team collected 42. Emily Schwisow (Jr.; Beatrice, Neb.) led the way with eight.
Concordia was paced by three players with six kills each. Dani Hoagland also added seven total blocks.
