The Tiger football team, off to a 2-1 start, is receiving votes in the NAIA poll for the first time since 2003.
Carroll College (Mont.) leads the way with 18 first place votes as the No. 1 team in the nation. University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) headlines the GPAC schools with a No. 2 rating. Morningside College (Iowa) is ranked No. 6 and moves up one spot from last week's poll while Northwestern College (Iowa) drops one spot to No. 14 after falling to the Mustangs, 26-21, this past weekend.
Doane's opponent this weekend (Sept. 20) is Midland Lutheran College (Neb.) and they debut in the poll at No. 25.
Other teams receiving votes from the GPAC are Dakota Wesleyan University (S.D.) and Hastings College (Neb.).
