Doane volleyball opened up Great Plains Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 sweep of Dana College. Game scores were 25-22, 25-18, 25-14. The win improved the Tigers record to 11-2 overall and 1-0 in GPAC play. Doane is off to the second best start in school history (1996, 16-2).
The Tigers displayed a strong offensive attack as three players were in double figures for kills. Terra Andreasen led the way with 14 kills while Chelsee Marvin and Jessy Livers added 13 apiece. Doane finished with 44 as a team, with a .284 attack percentage.
Ashley Sluka led the Tigers with 18 set assists and four ace serves while Heather Davison posted 13 assists and two ace serves.
As a team, Doane collected 11 ace serves in the match but were also plagued by service errors as they finished with 13.
Defensively, Emily Schwisow posted a team-best nine digs while Marvin led the attack at the net with four total blocks.
Dana College was led by Kali Brayfield's eight kills and 11 total blocks.
